The main goal of this program is to transition the children to be able to live a normal life. The skills they learn help them to be able to function in society as well as everyone else, despite their disabilities. They are taught many hands-on skills such as cooking, manners and sign language. They learn the skills needed to take care of themselves. The skills they learn are skills that we take for granted. This program also helps raise awareness of these disabilities in the general student body. The program is run by Kay Thomas Perkins, along with five techs known as paraprofessionals.
