REQUEST FOR SEALED PROPOSALS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / GENERAL CONTRACTOR BOARD OF EDUCATION OF NEBO SCHOOL DISTRICT TAYLOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDITION/REMODEL The Board of Education of Nebo School District (the "School District") is accepting scaled proposalsfromqualified Construction Manager / General Contractor companies ("Construction Manager") for the remodel and construction of a new addition at Taylor Elementary School, located at 92 South 500 West, Payson, Utah 84651. The building addition will be connected to the existing school building and is anticipated to consist of nine (9) classrooms, boys and girls restrooms, a work room, a custodial storage room, an office, and corridors. Said building addition will contain approximately 12300 square feet. This project will also involve constructing a new playground area, relocating the existing playground equipment, and installing asphalt adjacent to the new building addition. Estimated construction cost is Two Million Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($2^00,000.00). Proposal documents will be available at Nebo School District offices, 350 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660; or at the office of the Architect, Kevin Madson & Associates, Inc., 195 East 100 North, Provo, Utah, 84606, on Monday, January 11,2010. A deposit of $150.00 per proposal document package is required. The deposit will be refunded upon submission of the sealed proposal and return of the proposal document package. Sealed proposals will be received at Nebo School District offices no later than 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Proposals must be marked attention Reed B. All information requested in the proposal documents will be evaluated including an assessment by the School District as to the ability of each Construction Manager firm to perform ihe required work in a satisfactory and timely manner and their analysis of Construction Manager fees,- general conditions, costs, the guaranteed maximum budget cost requested therein, and other factors as specified in the proposal document package. The School District will select the Construction Manager on the basis of the proposal information submitted. Interviews or discussions may or may not be conducted with responsible offerors who submit proposals, but proposals may be accepted without interviews or discussion. The School District reserves the right to discuss proposal information for clarification with responsible Construction Manager candidate firms who have submitted proposals which are deemed responsive. Responsible offerors shall be accorded fair and equal treatment with respect to any opportunity for discussion and revision of proposals.
