SUB-DISTRICT: Canyon View David Orton, Somerset. Written by David's wife, Angela. I suspected early in our marriage that David was going to be heavily involved with the scouting/ young men's programs. Just a few months after we were married, I answered our door bell to find two or three young boy-scout aged kids on my porch asking if Brother Orton could play. I honestly can't think of a time since about 1992 when he hasn't been involved in the scouting program. He served with the young men/scouts when we first moved to Spanish Fork around 1993. He served as Scoutmaster for three years starting about 1996. Even before he was asked to serve in an official "calling," he would volunteer to go with the groups to help or chaperone at camps and activities. This summer will be his 10th year serving as Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster at Timberline. Tyler "Buzz" Nelson John Allen John-Michael Zimmerle Michael Wilson Sheldon Kauwe |
