The Salem Hills High School cheerleaders had a cheer clinic this week for kids Kindergarten-9th grade. The girls learned cheers and dances for four days then had an evening performance for family and friends. Spanish Fork Rec. Notes Matt Marziale SF PARKS & REC. Flag Football Officials Spanish Fork Parks and Recreation is currently looking for high school aged young men who would like to officiate flag football. Officials will be trained and prepared to work youth games. Pay scale is $10.00 to $12.00 per hour. All games have two officials. Those young men interested in a great after school should call 798-4068. A mandatory officials training will be held Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. in Room C11 at Spanish Fork High School. Tackle Football Officials Officials are need for Tackle Football. Adults are preferred for this level of play. Some High School Seniors will be used. Pay rates are $15.00 for High School aged of- Covering what matters most ficials and $20.00 per game for adults. Officials will work in for man crews, working two or three games per assigned day. Anyone interested in work should attend plan officials training on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. in the Spanish Fork High School Wrestling Room. This training will last one hour and 30 minutes. Officials form Payson, Salem and Springville should attend this training also. WE'RE CELEBRATING AND YOU'RE INVITED! The Spanish Oaks Ladies Golf Association hosted a Best Ball Tournament on Aug. 6. ladies from all over the state participated. We had a beautiful day and the course was in very good shape. Thanks to all of the sponsors. A lot of door prizes were given and an excellent continental breakfast was served thanks to Maceys and Albertson's. Luncheon was catered by Bajio's. Soft drinks were available on the course by Pepsi bottling and apples from Reams in Springville. A raffle was held with Aaron Brown donating a putter. Tickets were sold at three for five dollars. Many ladies bought chances. LaRue Taylor was the lucky winner on the drawing. The money was given to the Women and Children in Crisis Center. We want to give special thanks to Linda Roylance and Nancy Yeck for taking care of the raffle tickets and being spotters on hole 17 for the hole in one, sponsored by Joe Lengal. And Mainstreet Motor Sports with a moped as the prize. No one was lucky enough to win it. Really appreciate all of our sponsors. The ladies will continue to play every Tuesday, meet at 8 a.m. for information on the play of the day and pairings. Tee off at 8:30. Also a tee time at 5 p.m. for those wanting to play then.
