Show FIESTA DAYS 2008 Robinson Duo A Family Dynasty in Pro Rodeo Chad Vest STAPF WRITER At Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork, spectators will have the opportunity to watch a father son duo in the event of team roping. But even better, what a privilege it is when both of them reside in our own back yard. Father Lance and son Clint Robinson have been living in Lake Shore for close to three years with their families. They decided to move from Farmington Utah (their hometown) because as Clint stated, "We ran out of land up there." Aside from possessing an amazing skill for steer wrestling, roping, riding and tying, both of them have a love and talent for training quarter horses and good Old Lake Shore has plenty of real estate. In his career as a Cowboy, Lance was an accomplished tie-down roper, steer wrestler and team roper. He qualified for the National Finals Rodeo (held each year in Las Vegas) multiple times in the eighties and finished second in the all-around race in 1987. As for Clint, he's been around the sport his entire life and has been taught by one of the very best. Before competing as a pro. he graduated from Weber State where he was also a member of their rodeo team. Today Robinson has been very successful in his career as a pro rodeo Cowboy. Some of his overall and recent accomplishments have been Resistol Rookie of the Year in all-around tie-down roping for 2003. qualifying for the NFR in Vegas and winning the (2007) tie down roping titles (calf roping, high point) at the Canadian NFR in Edmonton, Alberta with a time of 54.9 seconds on six head. To qualify for the NFR in Canada, a Cowboy must participate in 15 different rodeos and place within the top twelve to be invited.
