While having more difficulty scoring points than he had hoped, the crafty Ashworth kept Peterson at bay the entire match and got a snapshot, moving him1 toward where he needs to be by the time region and state roll around. Junior Tom Clark looked in mid-season form as he raced to a 6 to 0 whitewash of his own as he tangled with Delta's Justin Winter Games Softball Tournament The cold weather has come in time for the holidays and to provide snow for the annual snow softball tournament. Dates for this year's events are as follows. Team registration deadline is Jan. 16, 2008. The softball and contest will take place on Jan. 19, 2008. Get your team ready to hit, run and dive in the powder on the diamond. Team fee is $150 per team. Additional information can be found on line at www.spanishfork.org Christensen at 140 lbs. Clarke victory gave the Dons three team points and guaranteed a team victory for the Dons as their lead was pushed to eight points with only one match left on the docket. Closing out the scoring for Spanish Fork was Brett Grover at 145 lbs. Little Hoopsters is a introductory program for boys and girls in first and second grades. The simple skills of the game of basketball will be properly taught to young players. As the program progresses, teams play scrimmages with the other teams in the program. Registration fee is $35, Registration deadline is set for Jan. 8, 2008 but spots will more than likely be filled prior to the deadline. Little League Wrestling Tournament The 2007 Nebo Wrestling tournament will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 in the Spanish Fork High School Main Gym. Weigh-in will take place from 7-8:30 a.m. Wrestling will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wrestlers from outside the Spanish Fork Little League Program are invited. This is a K-6 grade tournament. The entry fee is $8 per wrestler. Spanish Fork Wrestlers are Festival of Lights already registered as part of league fees. The Festival of lights has reached its 15th anniversary. ( . The Utah. County Independent Team isn't a bad option, just not .the first choice of many who would rather compete as a school. It is estimated that approximately seven students currently playing soccer on Payson or SR teams or upcoming in the house league at the Peaks would be attending the new Salem Hills High School, which is a great start, but more players are needed. The scrappy point guard earned the win, getting some battle wounds to show for it. In addition to an injured nose, he got nine stitches above his right eye and six above his left.
