The club was previously under the supervision of the business department. However, because of a lack of funding and resources, the business department was no longer able to support it. The business ed department was also potentially able to advise the club. However, it has its own club to support. Amy Merrill, president of DEX and a sophomore communication major from Layton, Utah, said that any faculty member will be accepted. No experience is required because it is a student-run club. The adviser WOl.!ld only have to travel to three conferences and oversee large activities. Merrill also added that advising DEX is not a large time commitment.
