The parade will start at 10 a.m. at 300 West and 200 South. It will proceed east on 200 South to Main Street, north on Main to Center Street, and • west on Center to 1100 West. After the conclusion of the parade, an antique car show is scheduled at the end of the parade route. The cars will be displayed from 11 :30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Eccles Coliseum West Parking Lot. The general homecoming theme, "Catch it. Feel it. Be it. T-Bird Spirit," is also the theme for the parade, according to Mike Wasden, parade chairman and a j unior from Boise, Idaho. Assisting Wasden are cochairs Rebecca Christensen, a senior from South Jordan, and Kristi Kincaid, a freshman from San Diego. "We look at the parade as a wonderful chance for students to relate to members of the community. It also offers opportunities for student service and fo( members of the community to get to know the students at SUU," Christensen said. ''We hope that community members will catch some of the 'T-Bird Spirit' and enthusiasm." Harold Hiskey, emeritus economics professor and former dean of the College of Business, Technology and Communication, will be grand marshal for the parade. He began his career at SUU in 1970 and retired in June 1997. 'The parade will include floats and entries from SUU clubs and organizations and area businesses," Christensen said.
