Show -- 118 1JNIVERSITY PREVIEW• SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY• FALL 1996 Tech~ology is future (continued from page 17) Design technology/computer aided drafting (CAD) is an exciting field as one sees their drawings appear before their eyes with all of the new software for both architectural and m echanical CAD programs. The OT program has a one-year certification in Civil Design and a two-year AAS degree program or it may serve as the first two years of ~he bachelors degree in CAD/CAM engineering technology. For more information contact professors Lyman Munford or Steve T aylor concerning this field of high technology. Electronic technology is an exciting field to be in today as we see all of the new electronic technology in the form of computers, software, equipment, video games, modules appliances which we enjoy today. The electronic tech program is a two-year AAS degree which can lead to a four-year bachelor degree in electronic enginee ring technology. Students may elect to go to work after rece iving the ir AAS degree, or they may decide to stay on and continue the next two years to complete the bachelors degree in electronic engineering technology. The departme nt's placem e nt rate is almost 100 percent and the demand is greater than the supply. If you want to be on the cutting edge of today's electronic technology, then come in today and see professors Don Blanchard, Ken Munford or Dave Ward. Most of our two -y ear applied technology programs serve as the first two years of the four-year bachelors degree programs. This gives the student the option of going to work directly after completing their associa te degree or continuing on for thei r bac helors degree.
