"You Know How to Whistle Don't You? Strong Women in 1940s Film" wiU be taught by Kay Cook, who chairs the Women 's R esource Committee. The class wiU be held Tuesdays at 3 p.m. The course, which offers one credit in H umanities 492, will examine the phenomenon of "strong women" in 1940s film. "Women in Popular Culture " will be instructed by Ana Ditmar. The class will meet Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. in Centrum 229. The course is a sociological analysis of women in popular culture and their social roles as professionals in the popular culture industries, sulh as film, pop music and television. The course offers one credit in Sociology 492.
