The fact that Sabella's instrumentals have been categorized as chamber jazz, renaissance jazz and celtic jazz only exhibit the versatility, worldliness and talent of th.is gro up 's performances. The tare of Alaska recognized Sabella's gift of musical imagery when it co mmi sioned the group and its original cpmpo ition to be part o f a video album featuring Ala ka ce nery. The trio . includes Dawn Clemen on piano and keyboard and Ted Dortch, axophonisr and multi-wind in trumentalist, executing w odwind wizardry with a variety of instruments including the mandolin , mandocello, saxophone , flute , penny whi tie, electronic woodwinds , piano and percussion--and , of cour e, Ru ty 's rich and textured guitar arrangemenl!i (Frets magazine).
