Show Thuttderbird Page 2 The Monday January 27, 1986 UBDC and SBA offer early business studies An identical series of morning workshops, Business Workshops for Todays Environment, will start Feb. 4 in St. George and Feb. 5 in Cedar City. Jointly sponsored by the Small Business Administration, the SUSC Utah Business Development Center, and the Cedar City and St. George Chambers of Commerce, the series is open to everyone interested in developing strategies for successfully managing a business in todays competitive environment. Harry Swanson, director of the UBDC, is the workshop coordinator. He indicates that persons can attend any or all of the sessions at either location. Registration is $25 if prepaid before Jan. 31 for the entire series or $5 per individual workshop if paid at the door. Sessions will be held Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the St. George Chamber of Commerce and Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. Registration can be completed at the respective Chamber offices, Swanson said. Customer Loyalty: Getting and Keeping It (Feb. 11 and 12) tracking, identifying and cultivating customers to develop and maintain competitive superiority. i vV' t1:1:11 ti'iurLiiU.aws'i4 r j Ilians SUSC will sponsor a y trip to Scandinavia which includes five days in Norways splendid Fjordland, a visit to the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, and sightseeing tours of Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen and Copenhagen. The Aug. 16 through 31 tour is being directed by SUSC faculty members Paul Burgoyne and Randall Christensen and is being sponsored through the colleges division of continuing education. Travel arrangements have been made by New Horizon Travel, Cedar City, with air transportation on Northwest Orient. Participants will visit Sweden, Norway and Denmark and will be housed in deluxe or first class hotels.
