Tilling will run the 5,000 meters, and Fisher will compete in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Fisher has the nations 10th best time this ear in the 5,000. She has yet to run the 10,000 this season, but she ran well last fall in cross country competition. She won the 1985 national marathon, and is expected to be one of the favorites in both her events. The best times this year in the 5,000 and the 10,000 have been recorded at low altitudes according to Coach Ben Davidson. With Fisher training here she should do well at Russelvilles altitude of 1,000 feet. According to Davidson, Pilling improved his best time by over 30 seconds at Modesto, Ca. last week. The coach said that Pillings time of 14:35.8 is the seventh in the 5,000 meters in the NAIA this year. Pilling finished eighth nationally in cross country last fall.
