The public is welcome to attend. The Kanab City Library Board and staff extend their thanks to the following people: Brian Trout, Dave Little and the Search & Rescue team for their hard work on the Demolition Derby during the July 4 celebration. Due to their dedication, the event was a huge success, bringing in over $2,000 for the Library Building Fund. On July 22, a Western dance was held on the tennis courts at the city park. A huge vote of thanks goes to Marcia Hymen and Michelle Green for organizing the dance and to all the volunteers who helped at the dance. Norma Jones of the Kanab J.C. Penney catalog store organized a fashion show on behalf of the building fund. The event took place on Pioneer Day, July 24. A debt of gratitude is owed to Norma Jones, Debra Carter, Michelle Green, Quality Printing, Glaziers Food Town, and all the models and other volunteers who made the show fun and enjoyable for those who at- tended it.
