Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS - Thursday, February 18, 1982 - Page Three ORDERVILLE By Jane Bryner " This is a very special week for one of our fine families. Kyle Sorensen, son of Hans and Betty Sorensen, and Karen Jean Valenzuela, Trade Tech, Provo; and Shane and John Jay Esplin, too. Mike and Lucinda Vowels and daughter, Amie, visited over the long weekend with Lindas father, Gene Russell, and sister Carol Lee. Our Scouts dressed the part last week, including Sunday, and looked sharp in their uniforms. They attended the Scout workshops held in St. George last week. Jay and Larraine Ramsay left Wednesday of last week for their training period at the MTC in Provo. Then they will travel to their field of missionary labors in Las Vegas, Nev. Already we miss them. Colleen Baird took her daughter, Marlene, to Delta to attend the State F.H.A. officers meeting. Marlene is Secretary of this fine group. Linda Barrett, Marlenes advisor was unable to go with Marlene, so her mother was happy to take over that responsibility, which includes being very proud of her daughter's accomplishments. They attended meetings and a luncheon, where the girls sack lunches were auctioned off, with the money to be used to help build the National F.H.A. building. The Long Valley Senior Citizes enjoyed a trip this last week. They drove down to Mesquite, Nev., and went to the Valley of Fire and to Overton to the Lost City Museum. There they examined ruins of ancient Indian civilizations, some of them being of the Anasazi people, who also lived at Mesa Verde, in Colorado.
