Smith were down from the USAC to assist me in putting out a new material that is supposed to control Iron chlorosis. Thats a fancy name for what makes our shrubs and peach and apricot trees so yellow during the summer months. The material we put out is called a chelate and in tests In northern Utah it has kept trees and shrubs green for at least two years. The chelate is placed in the soil around the plant in small A rose bush only needs about 1 tablespoonful of the material. Some of this material was olaeed on shrubs and small trees at Clifford Heatons home and at Beulah Frosts home. You might ask them about the results obtained in a few w'eeks when you see them. These chelates are marketed under- the names of yellow cure and sequestrene 330 and can be obtained through Kelly Western, Wasatch Chemical, Porter Walton and other chemical houses. Perhaps someone here will stock it if it appears successful here. Ill watch these plants that have been treated and you can ask me how theyre doing a little later.
