The Japanese hosts rolled out the red carpet for the visitors from Kanab. Participants this year were: Grant and daughter Sara Ramsay, Marty Mathis and daughter Allison, Cliff Roper and son Eric, Jennifer Sullivan, Garyowen Sullivan and his parents Gary and Julie Sullivan (Georgia), Preston Winchester, Chris Spendlove, interpreter Steve Howells, mayor Karen Atvey and Lamar and councilwomen Carol Sullivan. This summer two different groups of Japanese students will visit Kanab for a few days.
