Kane County Sheriff Norman Swapp, who led a party of about 16 searchers, said the bodies were found about 175 yards off the Seamon Spring road in a thickly wooded area. The victims, identified as Sylvie Mireille Bouvier and Brice Perrottet, had been shot, according to Sheriff Swapp. A slug was recovered from one of the bodies. Part of the remains were missing. Bouvier and Perrottet disappeared August 18, 1976 after renting a car in San Bernardino, California. The rental car was returned a month later to the Salt Lake City International Airport by two men. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the deaths. Held without bail after arraignment in Nephi are Roger Kipp Andreason, 19, and Wayne R. Brewer, 22. They are presently in the Juab County Jail. They are reported as from the Salt Lake Area. One of the subjects confessed to the slaying and led the search party to the area where the bodies were found. The suspects were charged in Juab County as it is believed that is where the French tourists were apparently robbed and killed. Sheriff Swapp indicated that the FBI was brought into the case when pressure was brought on the State Department from France.
