Sorensen home; Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Hafen and children and Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Chamberlain and family of Cedar City at the Hans Chamber; Iain home. Mr. LeGrandc Spencer spent the weekend home with his family from Jiis employement in Nevada. LaNard Johnson and Paul Blackburn accompanied Merrill Johnson to the funeral services of Deward Woodward held in Panguitch Friday. Rexine Esplin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Esplin of Henderson, Nevada visited herea few days with her grandparents the F. M. Esplin's she is spending the summer in Kanab with her grandparents the Merle Adams. Wilda Adair daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Adair spent the weekend here with her Terry Tait son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tait spent the week end with his parents from his employment in Fillmore, Utah with the Stale Road. Kenny Tanner who worked here a year ago and was Injured while working cfi the road visited here Saturday afternoon, he is working In St. George. Many of the townspeople attended the Rodeo held In Kanab Friday apd Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oman are the proud parents of a baby daughter born in the Kane County Hospital. This is their first. Congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. DeMoin Sorensen and children of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. LaVier Tait and family of Fredonia, Arizona; Jay Allred's of Henderson, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Lane Tait and children of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hall and children of Hurricane, Utah. Stan Sorensen son of Mr. and Mrs. Elburn Sorensen left Sunday for California where he will spend the summe working. Following is the ord- inance: ). FIREWORKS It shall be unlawrul for any person within the limits "15-2- 6 PRO-HIBIItL- of the City to discharge, explode or set off any rocket, squib,' firecracker, Roman candle, sparkler, cannop, gun, rifle, pistol or any other nre-aror fireworks or combustible or explosive matter whatsoever without first obtaining permission of the City Council so to do. Such permission shall be granted only on written application made therefor and af-- ter the said application has beeh submitted to the Police Chief or chief of the fire de- partment and a report thereon made by him to the Cjty Council. The permission herein m provided for shall be in writing and shall specify the time when and the place where such fire works or firearms or combustible matter may be discarged, . set off or exploded. It shall be unlawful for ,any person to sell or to offer for "sale or have in his possession or custody, any. rocket, squib, firecracker, roman candle, toy pistol, fire balloon, or other combustible or explosive fireworks or any particle for the making of pyrotechnical display without first obtaining from the City Council permission in writing to sell or offer for sale or have in his custody any such , article. 10-8-47)."
