Show Holladay Miss Wins Make-It-Yourself With Wool Contest A tall, attractive, well-like Olympus high school junior v.alked off with the top honors of the junior division of the "make it yourself with wool" contest conducted con-ducted this week at the Hotel) Utah by the Women's Auxiliary of the Utah Woolgrowers. Rosemary Haslam, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Haslam of 1701 East 4225 South, won the coveted trip to Las Vegas. She fashioned a brown and white hounds tooth fine check sleeveless sheath dress with front dart detail and costume type top coat to match with matching yoke detail and top stitching to win the award. She wore brown accessories and an orange winter hat. Rosemary chose the material and pattern to suit her personality said Mrs. Dennis Dallin, sewing teacher of Olympus High, in whose classes the winner is a second year student stu-dent The prize-winner has been interested inter-ested in sewing and has always liked to sew since she was able to hold a needle, according to her mother who mentioned Rosemary's coming trip at which time she will compete on January 21 for national honors with winners from the midwest mid-west and western areas of the country. Grand prize for the national winner win-ner will be a trip to Paris. |
