Show Friendshjp Tea Featured at Highland P-TA The Highland High Parent-Teachers Parent-Teachers association laid plans for the future at a Monday afternoon "Ship of Friendship Tea" held in the school. In attendance were 130 ruests including: some mem- High PTA' meeting will be held with a guest speaker invited from the new legislature. Following that will be a hot lunch serving scheduled on February 1. The new high school does not as yet have a cafeteria which prevents the children chil-dren from participating in the school hot-lunch program. Parents on this day will serve a lunch of hot chile to the students and it is contemplated that if the program is a success it will be continued on a once a month basis at least. On February 7 the Parent Education Ed-ucation program gets under way directed by Doctor and Mrs. F. Le-Grande Le-Grande Magleby of 2152 E. Crystal Ave. This will consist of a series of 6 weekly lectures by qualified people on how to handle the normal nor-mal child. The grand smash hit of the planning plan-ning was the offer of a slenderizing course to every member or mother who joins the organization, announced an-nounced Mrs. David Saley, Jr., piosident. bers of the state council. Six students stu-dents served the refreshments which consisted of several kinds of sandwiches and hot tomato juice. The "Ship of Friendship" motif was carried through with a large table decoration of a sea foam ship standing on .blue spun glass. The president and officers wore sailor hats and Principal Fred Arbogast was presented with a captain's hat. A friendship song composed by members and sung to the tune of "Daisy, Daisy" promoted a friendly atmosphere in which the planning of future events was considered and approved.
