Along with these favorites, a num-ber of new stars will make their Telephone Hour debuts during the coming season. The program will originate in NBC's New York studios in Radio City. Telephone Hour Musical Back On Radio The Telephone Hour, one of the best-know- n good music programs on radio, returns to the air on October 7, following a - 13-we-summer vacation. The program, which is sponsored by the Bell Telephone System, again will be . broadcast from 7 to 7:30 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, each Monday night over the NBC radio network, KDYL radio station. Jose , Iturbi will be guest artist on the first broadcast. The program features Donald Vorhees and . the Bell Telephone Orchestra and the "Great Artist" series of guest performers. Begin-ning with Iturbi on October 7, ar-tists will include such world-famou- s personalities as George Lon-don, Eileen Farrell, Robert Cas-adesu- s, Leonard Warren, Brian Sullivan, Lucine Amara, Zino Francescatti, Victoria de Los An-geles, Grant Johannesen, Mildred Miller, Isaac Stern, Theodore Upp- - , man, Renata Tebaldi, Igor Gorin, Michael Rabin, Giorgio Tozzi, Blanche Thebom, Lily Pons and William Warfield. Transportation In Defense Is BPW Theme The National Security Commit-tee had the program for the Su-gar House Business and Profes-sional Women's Club held Wed-nesday evening, October 9 at Rockies Cafe, 3786 Hyland Drive. Defense Transportation was the theme, Mrs. Beatrice A. McHarg, chairman of the committee, an-nounced. Other members who helped plan the meeting are Miss Ada Burt, Mrs. Rhoda Chidester, Mrs. Audrey Jensen, and Mrs. Mary Stroud. An induction was held ' for sev-eral new member, under the dir-ection of Mrs. Wallace E. Ander-son and her membership commit-tee- . Mrs. Andrew Jimas, Presi- - they enjoyed their charming granddaughters, Cathy, who is ten and eight-year-ol- d Kristy. Pvt. William N. Kuhre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newell J. Kuhre, 6185 Jeremy Circle, recently com-pleted the chemical laboratory specialist course at the Army's Chemical Corps School, Fort Mc-Clella- n, Alabama. Kuhre entered the Army in Ap-ril, 1957 and received basic train-ing at Fort Ord, California. He attended the University, of Utah. dent of the Sugar House Club, pre-sided at the meeting. The Beehive Party Sales spon-sored a Tupperware Star Hostess luncheon for eighty of their star hostesses and dealers. The luncheon was held Satur-day at Beau Brumfnells. Each hostess received a clever favor made from a tiny tupper-ware container made into a wish-ing well, with a tiny rhinestone wishing pin attached. There were prizes for everyone. Mrs. Jewel Roach of Clearfield was top star hostess and received first prize of $25 of tupperware products. Second prize $15 of tup-perware went to Mrs. LaRae Pe-terson of Kearns. Mrs. Pearl Sud-ber- y, Salt Lake City, received third prize, $10 of tupperware. The top star dealer, Pat Brown of Logan, won a beautiful import-ed German clock. Prizes were gi-ven to the hostess who had the most children, the one who had traveled the farthest to attend the luncheon and to the lady whose birthday was nearest to that day. Many other prizes were given. After the luncheon the ladies en-joyed a color and sound movie that was filmed in Orlando, Flo-irid-a, "Seven Wishes That Were Granted to 7 Supperware Dea-lers." Mrs. Rita Richardson, dis-- , tributor for Utah, was in charge1 of the affair. In connection with this annual promotion, Mr. and Mrs. Claude i Richardson, 2980 South 15th East,! have just returned from taking seven dealers from Logan, Og-- , den and Salt Lake-Cit- y to Berk-- ; ley, California, where they attend-ed classes in training and the tup-perware conference. Mr. and Mrs. Dasil A. Smith, 1729 Cornel 1 Cir., have recently returned from California. They spent their vacation with their, oldest son, Dr. Dasil C. Smith and his family in Castro Valley. Dr. Smith is head of Psychiatric Division at Parks Air Base. They saw Cinerama, "Around j the World in Eighty Days," and did a lot of sightseeing in San JFrancisco, which is thirty miles from Castro Valley.
