New Chapeau For Mid-Seaso- n Adds New Note To Miladys Costume . . . About this time of year, that "in between" seasons period, Milady's wardrobe becomes a little dull. Something gay and colorful to compl-iment the winter clothes is a definte lift to a lady's spirits and a new hat is lust that. To boost one's sagging morale nothing could be better. The millinery industry is a fas-cinating one, and cleverly, their designers have sought to answer this problem, for every year at this time, the news that spring will soon be here is heralded by ladies hats. At Keith O' Brien's in Sugar House, there are to be seen the most luscious new chapeaux you could ask for. No need to look further, for there, color, shape and kind are in abundance. Right in style now, are delicate pastel shades and white in an exciting new material called if you please, Souffle Braid. There's also a But-terfly Souffle Braid in white that is enchanting. The frothy beauty of these hats with their elegant jeweled trim will be hard to resist. By the way, jewels on hats is a carry over from the elegant hats worn by the royalty during the Louis XIV age of elegance in France. The always popular flower hats are so perfect for many occasions, and you could not go wrong select-ing one of the lovely ones to be seen at Keith O' Brien's. There are the flattering cloche type and also the pillbox, clustered solidly in delicate spring flowers. It will lighten your heart to see them. Here's an interesting note, too, ladies, if you are wondering at all about the shape of hats to come! The Dome-typ- e, the Mushroom, the Lampshade, or what have you, that we have been wearing are still THE SHAPES, so we can carry on. Of course, for those of you who are timid about wearing these some-what extreme styles, the standard Pillbox and "Little Hat" shapes are always good. Southeast Lady Lions Plan Anniv. Party We all enjoy a birthday party and according to Mrs. Bill Thomp-son, president of the South East Lady Lions, they are looking for-ward to the fourth anniversary of the group.
