Utah Thursday, December 25, 1953 price 10 cents Christmas Around The Town The Richards family will gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Stewart, 3198 Harmony Circle for a break-fast at 11:00 o'clock Christ-ma-s morning. A dinner party will fete the family of Mrs. Henry Rich-ards when Mr. and Mrs. Rich-ard- s are hosts at 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon at their home. There will be 48 guests. Santa will make a visit for gifts for all the children. The L. Marcus Jensens will entertain family members at dinner Christmas night at their Millcreek Way home. Guests will include Mr. and Mrs. C. Leland Davy and their two children, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Trayner and two sons. Gifts will be presented follow-ing the dinner. The Young Democrats of Salt Lake County gathered at the Holladay Country Club, Saturday evening for a holiday party. A cocktail hour was held from 7:30 to 9:30 followed by an Italian supper buffet style. Dancing until a late hour completed the entertainment for the evening. Marking the many yule functions was the Messiah, Sunday in the LDS Tabernacle. Thousands gathered to hear the outstanding performance, featuring Dr. Thor Johnson as conductor. Soloists were well-know- n tenor, Harold Haugh, Andrew White, Ilona Kombrink and Margot Helmuth Blum and of course the music of the Utah Oratorio Society.
