The international conspiracy of communism has published the fact that they wish to destroy your type of government There is only that goal, no other, for the communist, fncidently, the communist party in Russia is made up of less than four per cent of the people. This four per cent have taken over one third of the population of the world and make slaves of them. They have done this within the last 40 years. We would like to examine point by point her arguments. is not our intention, Miss Lambert, to . make any nation of the world against any other nation. We feel that a government (communism) will make slaves of all Americans. Factories You folks who are planning to send Johnny or' Jane to college in 1962 (if you havent firmed 1961 before now you are apt to be too late) are doing a considerable amount of checking. But, how can you tell what a good education is? You seem to be able to tell when.it comes to a college or university. Who has been kidding you into thinking you cant tell about an elementary school. You do better when you think of the high school. Yet, it is the first three grades, probably, that tell the tale. Your offspring has done exceptionally well in high school or is at least in the upper third of his class. If this be your position you have little to worry about. Teachers can teach a subject. Some teachers can inspire and motivate children. You remember your own great teachers. But even then you shop around. You look to the prestige Phd factories, for the most part You prepare yourself for spending many hundreds of dollars a year to keep your child in You will surely think of Vassar, Yale, Princeton, or Stanford. These schools turn down hundreds each year. Some of you will think of Lehi, Notre Dame and Mills. . If you have a child in the sixth grade or yond, try this on him: But, what you will do is take your time and you do want the very best education you can get for your youngster. -- A.R.S. (name on request) . Dear Editor: School teachers and affiliated organizations are flooding congressmen, calling for Feder- al aid to education. The National School Boards Association, composed of school board members from the fifty states have voiced Their opposition to Federal aid. I am a former student at Evergreen and was one of the many students present at the parent and students evening assembly (as you called it) and I enjoyed it very much. If you would stop to think that its people like you that make the nations of the world against each other you would realize that $bu should not write things such as this. That program was put on as a promotion exercise for the ninth graders at Evergreen with one theme in mind THE WORLD WE WANT They put the Russian flag on the stage with 49 others with the thoughts that the World We Want is one where ALL nations can be friends! Would it then, be showing this kind of world i they put all the flags of the world on, the stage BUT ONE? . lets keep it that way. Many, many of you will think of a State, tax supported, college.
