PETERSEN, No. 323 Perry St., Davenport, Iowa. taking Funeral service over the remains of Sister Christiansen, who died on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Larsen at Paradise, of old age and genera,! debility, was held at the Hyrum 3rd ward chapel on Saturday, Oct. 4th. The services were presided over by Bp. Louis Maughan; prayer wsa offered by Elder Jos. M. Smith, and members of the 3rd ward choir furnished appropriate singing. The speakers were Elders H. P. Hansen, Lars Petersen, and Patriarch O. M. Wilson of the first ward, also C. F. Olsen and Bp. Maughan, the latter thanking the people for their attendance, and all who in any during way rendered assistance the sickness and death of Sister Christiansen. The special musical nnmbers were a duet by Mrs. Alfred G. Anderson and Mrs. M. S. Rosenbaum, and a solo, by Bishop Maughan. Bro. Oldham of Paradise offered the benediction. The funeral was quite largely attended by relatives and friends, many coming from Idaho to pay their last respects to the good and noble woman. The floral contributions were many and beautiful, and were carof the deried by parted sister.
