The machinery is dri-e- by two Leflel tuibine wheels under a 21 U or head. We have sampled some of the flour made at tbis mill by Mr. Ed. Fowels and H P. lacobs, millers, and find it the very best flour we have ever had the pleasure of sampling. The Presideur and people of Wasatch County are to be congratulattd upon ihe completion ol this excellent plant, which will place our flour product at the top. Wasatch Have. ;;; ; A MODERN ROLLER FLOUR MILL The Bernard Sc Leas " Mill furnishers have recently supplied, throush th r contracting; agent, and resident mill wright, Mr, Charles Kemp, of Moroni, one of the best equipped and complete roller mill outfits in Utah The machin-ery has been placed in the mill under the personal direction of Mr. Kemp, as petspeciheation andrequiren ttits o the proprietor, President Hatch of Wasatch County, who lias spared neither pains, nor expense to reach results in all re-spects, as complete, in all milling re-quirements, as modern milling invention could supplv, and not only this, but that it must be as nearly automatic, in receiv ing the grain aud manufacturing it into Hour, and feed as a judicious arange-meu- t of mechanical devices could pos-sibly make it; thereby necessiating only minimum amount of manual labor in operating the mill. The milling plant comprises the following line of machines Four double sets, 9 x IS inch, latest style rolls, each roll belted at both ends thereby forming a peifect equipoise of diction bearing at both ends of rolls thus neutralizing all undue heating in journal boxes and almost dispensing with the necessity for tramming the rolls when, once adjusted, and can be run continuously, day and night for months, if i business demands. There is one milling, separator 011 roll floor, fed from a hopper into which the wheat is spout-ed from the wagon outside the mill. Alter being partially rid of ofldls, the wheat ('rops through the floor and is elevated and sent to a magnetic separa-tor over hopper scale, where all meial-i- c S;ibstrnces are 'extiacted and auto- - maticall disposed ol to prevent injury to corrugated rolls and reel silks; from this machine the wheat drops into the hopper scale and is dumped into a gar-ner in the basement, and led by sutiable appliances to the wheat eievatpr, and spouied to the hoppef above a Kunh cockle machine in second story frum.this machine it dr ps to a smutter in the base ment wheie ihe wheat is thorouglil scoured and dropped mto. a conveyor, dampened and sent by elevator to the seasoning bins, and, after being temp-ered a suitable length ol time, is fed to a brush scourer underneath the bins, then to a stock hopper above the break rolls, and so on, through the usual scalp CHRISTMAS. Hon9 RcjUt HE HAD HIS CHOICE (continued) The other horse was unable to get out ol the water, and Bess upon the stiain of her weight and position dragged arritat ly twisted this way and that, in manner that threatened either to turn the wagon over in the stream or break the tongue oft. At this interesting juncture Mrs. Menigold fatnied.and slid down into the wagon box in front of I he seat. The two little girls unaccustomed to seeing their mother display any kind ol weakness, cried aloud and begged papa to let them get down and walk. A lonely road, where nobody might come to his rescue for two days, a taint-ed wile, two crving, screaming children who could not be hushed, a t;ronko colt, and a wagon in a fix. Mr. Merri-gul- d sumed up the situation, and looked hopelessly up and down the road, but there was no one in sight. Telling the diiliireu to be quiet and speaking si.othingly to the dancing mare Mr. Meirigold cautiously tied thehnes to the brake, and divesting himselt of coal And vest got out into the water that was waist dtep and pretty cold, and carr ed the girls to the bank une at a lime, bid-ding them go on down the road. This accomplished, he began to won-der how he was to get his wife out. Not the hem of her clothes.or the sole of her foot, must be allowed to get wet least her life pay the forfeit. Alter considerable trouble he got some blankets out, and spread them down on the ground, and standing on the w heel dragged his wife (who was beginning to recover) up to a level wilh tiie box, and was just a firmer holdinoidei to lift her high and drv, when his foot slip-ped ofTtlie n htel.and he t. II in thecreek in a sitting pustionwilh the water up to his chin. Ihe loud splash and some-what excited remarks of the splasher.sei Bess half frantic, and Mr. Merrigold was obliged 10 sland and hold her by the bits lot ten minutes, all wet and half fiozen as he was, and his wife moaning feebly in the bottom ol the wagon box, before he dared leave the mare again. Tiiis tine Mis Merrigold was able to drag herself up wheieher husband cou'd lake h. U..I her e wn pjed her in a Nav j j blanket, for he was so wet that lie was afraid to touch her, and this time he was able to set to the bank in safety with her. Then a shovel and ax were brought intou-e- , and by cltcpi-in- down and shoveling away the bank in front ol the wheel, the hotses weie at last able to pull the wagon out of iis perilouse posi-tion. The family were luaded up ar.d ihe last niiie driven without further ac-cident. - Mr. Merr gold had put on his coat and vest, but dared not walk t keep up the brisk circulation necessity under the circumstiicw: He really suf-fered keenly during the mile drive, and when his wife suggested that the whole trouble could have been avoided if she had had just a little more nerve, he mentally agreed with her, while he was too manly to reproach her for her "natuialand womenly meakness". Who can tell what power ' reminded Mr. Merrigokl so laicable in this hour of serious discomfort, cf the times without number that he had wished his wife was "like other womer.;" that is tender, tiniid helpless, clinging, and incompetent, but he did not mention it to his wile, nor give expresMMi to his gratification at the pleasure he had experienced in is 112 the noble perogative ol protect-ion and defender of a family. The travelers weie kindly received by their friends, and made comfortable, but not realizing the lady's state of health, the evening wasspentin telling frontier adventures; by flood and storm; in sav-age warfare, a d inct nnter with not le; savage animals. r The result was that Mrs. M, lay wide awake till midnight, and dozed the hours""i"n a state --of dreamy fright.
