Show Rome, April, a. Marquis di Rudini, Italian premier, to-day sent another cable ca-ble message to the United States on the subject of the New Orleans troubles, addressed to the Marq lis Impeiialli di Francaville, secretary of the Italian lega tion at Washington to be handed to Secretary Sec-retary Blaine The message is in reply to his last note. Rudini says that Italy has asked nothing but the prompt institution insti-tution of regular judicial proceedings "gainst the guilty parties at New Orleans He adds it would have been absurd to have claimed punishment for the offenders offen-ders without the guarantees afforded by a regular trial. The diplomatic incident, inci-dent, the marquis says, can only be considered con-sidered closed when the federal government govern-ment has declared in precise terms when prosecutions will be commenced In the meantime the Italian government takes cognizance of the federal government's govern-ment's declaration acknowledging that compensation is due the families of the victims by virtue ol the treaty existing between the two countries. |
