Show MORONI NEWS ITE3IS. Correspondence Free Press. Moroni, Oct. 7. The San Pete Valley is very busy hauling beets, 8 to 12 cars a day, giving a lively interest at the depot. Lots of work in the beet fields for boys and girls and adults. The Relief Society hall is ready for the roof, with most of the material to finish on the ground. The building is a credit to the Society. The Co-op is doing commendable work in putting down a cement sidewalk in front of the store. The Gooseberry Reservoir company is calling for men and teams at liberal wages. The schools are well filled with pupils in all grades, with efficient teachers. Our stores are very busy most of the time. The irrigating streams are very low, especially at the extreme ends. The grain crop is very fair, but on account ac-count of beet culture there will be less grain raised. We are soon to have electric lights, furnished by the Fountain Green company. com-pany. Poles are being got from tho canyon can-yon for this purpose and will soon be erected. Our Sunday school and meetings are pretty well attended, especially our Fast meeting held on Sunday last. Quite a few children were blessed, among them the twins, a boy and girl, of Peter Christensen. |
