I learned that I don't have to be the first or fastest, the biggest or most beautiful, to have worth. Like the late blooming sunflower, 1 only a sunflower for lifes unexpected surprises and to appreciate the small and simple things that present themselves to me every day. I have come to realize that I can do special things for others and be-- bright spot in their day by reaching out and letting them know I am thinking of them. If I hold my head up like the sunflower and let my face shine, I may help others feel happy and encouraged about their own life. The late autumn surprise that bloomed in my garden a was a wonderful blessing. Each one of us is unique in our own way, so like the little sunflower. I hope each of us can open up and other volunteers enjoyed taking in the sights around town while assisting in the program. She especially enjoyed touring the La Posada Hotel, which is the place to stay in the area. Carol Hoggard visited her daughter Patty and Paul flendricks in Midvale. While there, she and Patty attended an Agatha Christy play at a theater in Salt Lake City. Upon her return home she was informed of the death of her father in California, so made plans to attend services there this past week.
