A memorial service was held for Wesley Glen Hoggard at the Moab Memorial Mortuary on May 10, 2002 with many family and friends gathering to pay their last respects to the family. Wesley loved San Juan County and Moab since he first came here in 1951. He and his wife Carol chose to retire in Moab after many years living away. His ashes were laid to rest at one of his favorite vacation spots. A nice luncheon was held at his home where family and friends visited and enjoyed one anothers company (see obituary). Keith and I enjoyed having our sons Michael, Rick, Kirk, Kim and Steven with some of their families visit while attending their uncles funeral. It was quite a surprise when Susie Shults visited with us from St. George while enroute to Durango. Susie is the daughter of friends we had when we lived in Midvale and our sons worked in her fathers cream was served to all attending. Gary and Bobbi Suttlemyer eryoyed a trip to cedar City to attend the graduation of their son Murray who earned his B.A. degree at SUU. It was nice to visit with Murray, Kathy and their four children afterwards. Upon leaving Cedar City they traveled North to attend a family funeral in Ogden. They picked up Garys mother Ethel who will be living here with them off and on. While in the area the Suttlemyres stopped in SLC to visit their daughter Bonnie and Danny Bracks and seven month old Xan, who is recovering nicely from surgery. Her two brothers, Jeremiah and Jonathan are helping with the care of their little sister. I suppose many of you have some Mothers Day news, so we are anxious to hear what is happening here and in your part of the country.
