Public notice EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IN SAND AND GRAVEL SALE REQUESTED BY THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has received a request from Hatch Construction and Paving, Inc., of Taylor, Arizona to purchase sand and gravel from the Mexican Hat Community Pit. According to Ed Scherick, San Juan Resource Area Manager, the BLM will explore the possibility of offering the material competitively before issuing a conract to Hatch Construction. To determine if a competitive sale is practical, the BLM is notifying the public and soliciting an expression of interest from anyone wishing to purchase the material. The pit is located approximately one mile northwest of Mexican Hat in the SWMNEW, NW4SE4 Section 1, T.42S., R.18E., SLM. The Band and gravel has been appriased at $0.60 per cubic yard and will not be sold at less than the appraised value. Approximately 20,000 cubic yards of material is available for sale.
