For decades, one of the social events of the Spring season here is The Bull Sale in Paradox. Folks come from all over the western U.S. to purchase bulls from Redd Ranches. Others of us go there to shoot same. And, of course to enjoy the wonderful meal Diane Redd and her crew serve. Ive never known these folks to turn away anyone, friend or stranger, from the lunch line. Many of us in La Sal have ties to the Redds and the ranch, so it is fun to go enjoy a reunion; see friends, catch up on things and meet a new generation. It was a perfect day. No wind or sale stopping rain hitting the tin roof. Not a few red faces and arms came away from the sale. Of course, for me, I enjoy Bubbas Stories which all seem to start with Now, when I worked here... Romantic occurrences are happening right and left. Mandy Robinson Malory wed Frankie Lopez in Moab Saturday afternoon. Reports are that it was a lovely ceremony and the food is still being talked about! A few folks made the mad dash from the bull sale to the wedding, stopping briefly to change duds. and served as Elders Quorum President and later as Ward Clerk.
