Show MILITARY OFFICERS OPTIMISTIC OVER LOCAL SITUATION Military medical authorities are optimistic op-timistic that the apex of the influenza situation, so far as local troops are concerned, con-cerned, Iulh been reached and is being I successfully passed. j Vest en! ay only eleven new cases were ! received into the special isolation hospital I at Fort Toug!as and It is hoped and be-i be-i lieved that the situation hns been gotten In hand, and that the spread of the infection infec-tion will soon bf effectively checked. There are now forty-four cases of the disease In the isolation hospital, hut all except four are from outside the resorption, resorp-tion, most of the cases coming from t he student army training corps at the University Uni-versity of Utah. The situation nt the uni ersit y has been pretty well cleaned up. it is hoped, and every possible precaution pre-caution is being taken to check the disease dis-ease from further spread among the student stu-dent soldiers. The closest observation is being maintained main-tained over the students And the first .symptom of trouble is the signal for isolation iso-lation of tlie patient and the taking of prompt steps to determine the nature of I his ailment.
