Diamond f.!rillini iy proving the existence of extensive exten-sive deposits of ore on the property of Iho Consolidate-l Mines company, according accord-ing lo the following report of Kobert IJiiton. managing director, received by .r. The drill at a depth of feet below the collar passed through thirty-three feet of ore, corresponding to a horizontal width of at least sixteen and ono-lialf l'eet. and averaging 8 per cent' cupper. ".New ore also lias been recently cut on the 1300-foot level, on the crosscut farthest east on this level. This ore averages av-erages over 9 per cent copper. 'New ore also has been cut near the western end of the workings on tbe 1100-foot 1100-foot level. This cire, which showed five feet of 8 per cent ore, is considerably south of any previously cut on this level. Six feet of 6 per cent ore also was. recently re-cently cut at tho extreme west end of the 1000 level, this being practically the extension of ore previously encountered in crosscuts lying to the east. "Satisfactory progress is being made on the crosscut on the HOO-foot level, which has. however, not yet reached the ore-bevring zone. "A statJon is now being cut on the 1100-foot level and sinking the shaft will be started at as early a date as possible. t has been decided to sink the shaft at once an additional 400 feet, which will permit of opening the mine to the 1800-foot 1800-foot level." |
