Every street north of North Temple, and every one west of W. Temple will be affected. Why should one fourth of the city NOT affected dictate to the three fourths of the city which IS affected? Now, let us evaluate the situation to others than to those living in these areas: BANKS - Every credit card, every savings account, checking account, trust fund, every type of account you can think og,yor people in this area, all the records will have to be changed. Every individual will have to have his check printing changed too. RETAIL STORES - Every retain establishment with charge account customers living in the areas, their charge plates will have to be changed. We have just now received new ones from 3 stores. Lets just list a few of these stores, ZCMI, Auerbachs, the Paris Co., Keith OBrien, J. C. Penney, Sears, Southeast Furniture, every other retailer and wholesaler in the valley. Every business which has customers buying on time payments, all these records will have to be changed. Just turn to the yellow pages, think of the work load these business will have to change the records. Will the Commissioners pay for this work out of their own personal pockets? SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS - Just think of the expense they will have as they carry so many of the mortgages in the city. Every mortgage, and all appliances bought on time will have to have the buyers addresses changed. CITY RECORDS - Every deed recorded in the Recorders office will have to have the address changed; every business with a city license will have to have the addresses changed. VOTER REGISTRATION -WOW! How many districts in this area? STATE RECORDS - Every car license will have to have the owners address changed; each drivers license - the state office will be swamped! NATIONAL RECORDS - Every man, woman and child, living in these areas who have a Social Security number, will have to have the national records al- tered. UTILITIES - Think of the Utah Power & Light, Mountain Fuel Supply, Mountain Bell. All the telephone directors. Even the national zip code directories will have to be changed. For 125 years Second West has been the main north south artery in and out of Salt Lake City, so what happens now. All trucking routes in the nation are plotted to use Second West. It is illegal now for truckers to use First West because the street is not constructed for heavy vehicles. 5, to-w- it: long-lastin- (9-1- 6) g Sani-FIus- h out germs.
