DEATH 1HI FOOL Mioha.l O'Brien Drowned While Bathing at Warm Springs With a Fart of Acquaintinoet, EE AST TROUBLE WAS THE CAUSE Ths Bathn Horrifijd at the Finding of the Body at ths Bottom f tha L'&mmovh Tub, Shortly before noon today Michael O'Hrien, a miner from 'Frisco, wa drowned in the big pool at Warm Springs, and the remains cow lie at Evans' undertaking rooms, at which place an inquest, if one is deemed necessary by the coroner, will be con-ducte- d. It is the first misfortune that ha be- - fallen the springs uuder the nir administration, and while it can in no way reflect on the vigilance ot the pianagemeut is a source of nat-ural rmbarassinent. The luckless bather attended the popular resort tbi morning with a party of aciiiaiutances and the invigorating waters of the pool were loon churned to a froth. Others came and there was a veritable school of human IUh in the pool when the ab-sence of O'llrien was detected by one of his party. A search was made.hasti-ly- , of the rooms and hallways but nothing could bo seen of him until the (livers began to explore the mammoth tub, and the limp form of tho bather was brought to the surface. No .time was li st in getting it upon a barrel in the effort to resuscitate it, but without avail. It was held fast under the lock and key of Death. The management had sent promptly for medical aid, but its arrival was too late. Tha immediate cause of death is a mystery that will scarcely be unfolded without an autopsy. The popular theory is that death was the result of heart diseaso, that had been aggravated by the free use of intoxicants to which he has been resorting since his arrival in the city from Frisco. Debased wa f 57 years of age and a miner who has been employed for some time past at the mines of Frisco. He came here on a mission divided be-tween business and plsasure and is said , to have put up at tho White house. He was apparently in good health and was among the visitors to the springs yesterday. Ho was so gratilied with the re-sult and his improved physical coudition that he organized a party and returned this morning. He belraye i no signs of illness, but it is thought that ' the cause was heart trouble. V A . '" ' The ud sffalf in nil " wayWuer&' so Messrs.
