Show Lawrence T. Epperson, Prominent Democrat, Dies at Residence Lawrence T. Epperson, for many years active in the Demo-' cratic Party in Salt Lake and Utah counties, died Wednesday at 10 a.m. of coronary thrombosis. throm-bosis. A Salt Lake accountant and realtor, Mr. Epperson had been a candidate for both houses of the Legislature. While serving as Utah County Democratic Chairman he helped organize and direct the campaigns cam-paigns of Govs. Simon Bamber- ger and George H. Dern in southern south-ern Utah. He came to Salt Lake City in 1925 and served on the Public Utilities Commission for seven years. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1932 when Franklin D. Roosevelt Roose-velt was nominated for his first term. Mr. Epperson was born Sept. 22, 1884, at Midway, Wasatch County. i Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Federal Heights LDS ward, 160 University St. |
