Show EDWIN FITZGERALD DEAD m DENVER DENVER.' Feb. 7. Edwin Fitzgerald, assistant general freight agent of the Southern railway, died in this city last night after a severe attack of the grip, from which he was suffering when he arrived ar-rived here a week ago. His son, E. Fitzgerald, Fitz-gerald, Jr., of Mobile, Ala., is speeding across the country,' in the vain hope of reaching his father's bedside In time to neo him alive. Mr. Fltig?rald was a well-known railroad rail-road man of the country, and fought through the Civil war on the Confederate Bide. He was the youngest Major in the Confederate army. After the war he became be-came Interested in the Baltimore & Ohio with Robert Garrett, end was at one time manager of a line of steamers ply-Irg ply-Irg between Baltimore and Charleston. He was a member of the Louisville Pen-dennls Pen-dennls club. |
