Show WITH CERTAI.VTY AND CiltRIIY. The mail from Omaha arrived on time on Wednesday night, but none arrived from points east of Omaha. Thereas.on was simply the heavy storms eajt impeded travel and interfered with trains making regular time. Strange, Is it not. that with all the outcry and fears concerning the Union Pacific being blockaded by snows, it should run its trains regu arly on tirn'j, while on eastern eas-tern lines they are stopped, impeded and kept behind? If there should be any nervous souls who hive had a continued con-tinued dread of traveling across the eontinent in the winter, the experience of the present season should entirely dissipate it. Th';re have been heavy snow storms in the mountains and canons, heavy snow fails along the lines of the Union Pacific and Central . Pacific roads, but so complete ba.-, been the arrangements of the companies to ensure regular travel, that we have yet t) bear of any train being blocked or travel impeded. This fact rpeaks for itself in the strongest manner concerning con-cerning both lines. |
