The count is progressing slowly. In the second congressional district Gen. Sheldon, Republican, is believed to be elected, no Democrats opposing him, though Wa'sh, Christian Republican, received the Democratic support. Trenton gives a Republican majority of 50; Vienna gives a Democratic majority of 300; Delplin polled 112 votes, of which three or four were Republicans; Monroe polled S36 votes, and gave a Republican Republi-can majority estimated at 250. Long-street Long-street cast his maiden vote to-day, voting vo-ting the straight Bepublican ticket. |
