The Marshal ordered yesterday that no attache should leave his office between this time and election day without his permis ion. It is understood un-derstood -that the military are to be held in readiness on e.ection day to aid the Federal authorities in enforcing enforc-ing the law il necessary. Governor Hoffman has written a letter declining the invitation of Gen. Woodford to a joint discussion on the issues of the pending canvass. The Tribune thinks the additional returns received from Pennsylvania do not materially change the appearance from previous accounts. It considers the 6th, loth, 10th and 21at districts doubtful, conceding the probable loss of the last named. Chicago,' 13. Returns from the Iowa election indicate a Republican majority on the state ticket, of about 33,000. The congressional delegatiou is entirely unchanged. The result of the Ohio congressional election seems to be the loss of two Republican congressmen, Schenck in the 3d and MeClung in the 4th, ai.d the gain of two, Perry in the 1st and Foster in the 9th. Both parties claim Indiana, iu which state the Democrats gain two congressmen, Manson in the Tth, beats Gen. Wallace by 400 votes, and Gooding in the 4th. The President is in rec ipt of telegrams tele-grams to day announcing the result of the elections. lie expressed some fears for Indiana, but said on the whole they had turned out better than he anticipated.
