> I I 1 i Miss Clara Coltons buffet luncheon I given on Thanksgiving day at Tier home on Fifth South street was one of the prettiest and most novel affairs of the week The guests on arriving were presented with a clever pen and ink and water color sketch of the Yellow Kid upon the back of which was the name of some lady or gentleman who I were their partners for the afternoon The dining room was decorated very 1 Jaintily in chrysanthemums and in ire center of the table stood half a > arge pumpkin filled with clusters of rapes and ether autumn fruits After the elaborate luncheon had been partaken par-taken of pink and yellow tissue paper I lemons l ink and small pieces of wood were distributed among the guests who were then requested to construct a Yellow Kid out of these articles Some very clever Yellow Kids were the result of this unique idea and many very laughable ones were turned out from fair fingers Mrs Jenks of Fort Douglas received a bunch of American Beauty roses and iady and found a great many friends aud admirers both in the post and in the city who very much regret her departure de-parture Lieutenant Welch accompanied accom-panied her on her journey as far as Ogden where they parted Miss Black going on to Boise and the lieutenant to return to the post 000 Dr Kirkpatrick who has been away from the post for about twomonths on leave of absence is expected to return for duty about the first of the month o 0 Mrs Lieutenant Dashiel who has been very ill for some time past is now allo to be out again Mrs Dashiel was confined to the hospital in the city anu
