Show The Indignant Proroites. A mass meeting of indignant Provoites was held Thursday night to consider the appointment of James G. Kenney as postmaster of that town. Remarks were made by a number of gentlemen expressive ex-pressive of the sense of the meetW. when it was moved and carried that a committee of seven be appointed by the Chair -to draft a petition for circulation among the residents of Provo for their signatures, and then forwarded to Washington, Wash-ington, asking for the rejection of J. G. Kenney as postmaster, and the appointment appoint-ment or retention of Mrs. McCauslin. The chair appointed the following gentlemen gentle-men as that committee : A. G. Sutherland, Suther-land, Prof. T. M. Lincoln, Dr. W. R. Pike, Thomas Beeslev, Judge W. N. Dusenberry, Rev. A. R. Crawford and J. C. Graham. |
