Show The Big Hole Placers. The recently discovered placer diggings on the upper Big Hole, in Beaverhead county, Montana, are proving good, as the ground is opened ond prospected. The last llhiovlian has the following to say about the new diggings : "Still the excitement ex-citement continues unabated over , the Big Hole placer diggings. One can believe be-lieve their own eyes, and it is a common sight, both in Corvallis, and Grantsdale, to see miners coming down from the new Eldorado with the genuine yellow dust, buying food with which to return and continue their labors at the rate of $30 per day throughout the winter ; 'rather good pay.' As a rule the miners are very re-, ticent as to details, but do not deny the richness of the new diggings. - Bill Mc-Whirk Mc-Whirk ha3 this morning sent four men out to construct a building for store purposes, pur-poses, and intends to send out a large supply of flour, bacon, etc., as soon as the store is completed. The clouds of trade depression and financial embarrassment embarrass-ment will soon roll by, to give place to the glorious rays of a prosperity .heretofore .hereto-fore unknown in our valley. |
