Show Politicians add to litter problem Dear Editor I am well aware of the litter laws Jaws in this state state fine or a term of imprisonment or both I have yet to see these laws enforced I am outraged by some of the politicians and their staffs When an election year comes around all Isee is their signs saying Vote for me at every intersection intersection intersection inter inter- section on every corner or plastered on every billboard on the freeway But what happens when the election is over and all our elected officials are now in office I Nothing Discarded along the side of our roads among the weeds and other garbage are their unwanted signs and handbills Because of several weeks of wind and rain these signs are barely Sc- Sc readable and are faded beyond recognition Some are still nailed to the telephone poles and others are scattered along our highways Whatever happened to the term Dont waste Utah I feel that something has to be done I believe there should be some kind of grace period for the politicians and their staff to clean up the mess they carelessly left behind After all they are the people who write the laws They should set an example and enforce the laws Sincerely outraged r V Trad Traci L.
