My parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends helped me celebrate. My parents are Jay and Jenny Butcher, My grandparents are Allen and Louise Jensen, of Redmond, Utah; Chick and Kathy Butcher, of West Valley City, Utah, and Delbert Butcher, of Mayfield, Utah. In looking ahead to the Utah State Centennial celebration in 1996, the Utah Genealogical Association decided to begin issuing Pioneer Certificates for those who can document an ancestor who came to Utah before January 1896. They immediately flew to Seattle to greet her and to make her their own. Now, exactly 21 years later on August 14, Jim and Carma,of North Logan, are honoring their daughter, Crystal Ann and Jason Paul Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gilkey of Moroni, and Paul Bailey, of Mount Pleasant, at their wedding reception in the Gunnison Stake Center. They were married on June 12, in Las Vegas. Crystal graduated from GVHS in 1990, where she was active in school sports, drama and music, and was an FHA officer for several years. She was a delegate to Freedom Academy at Camp Williams, and was an attendant to the Sanpete County Dairy Princess in 1990. She graduated from LDS Seminary and Snow College in 1992. Jason graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1988, where he was active in school sports also. He served an LDS mission to Mississippi. The couple will make their first home in Moroni for a short time with their five month old son, Taylor, after which they will continue their studies in Provo.
