October 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Salt Palace and Symphony Hall. Senior Citizens from through the state are expected to attend the conference with workshops on such topics as Mental Wellness, Healthcare Decision Making, and How to Deal with Difficult People. Special sessions are set to include, among others, Aerobic Exercise, Book Reviews and a KUED Special, Shades of Gray, by Ken Verdoia. State finals for the pageants will be November 15, and 16, 1991. The site for the combined pageants will be Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus in SLC. The required age for entering the Miss Utah USA Pageant is at least 17 years of age but not yet 26 by February 1, 1992. Search for Miss Seniors are missing out on valuable benefits More than 2 million low income seniors and disabled persons are missing out on a valuable benefit having their Medicare premiums, deductibles and co payments paid for under the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary program jus because they havent heard about it. Currently, only half of those eligible for the program are using it, according to a Senate Committee on Aging hearing held in July. Yet since Jan. 1, all Medicare beneficiaries with limited assets and incomes below the federal years of George and Ira Gershwin with most of their works from Porgy and Bess to But Not For Me, and most everything in between. Governor's Conference on Aging begins Oct. 16 Over 2,000 seniors are expected to attend this years Governors Conference on Aging, Wednesday 4-- H arc reminded of these events' upcoming Bake and Take Week - October The Richfield Chorus and Ensemble will present a Broadway Musical concert in the Richfield LDS Tabernacle Oct. 30. The chorus is comprised of 50 voices with the ensemble of six or seven instruments including brass, percussion and synthesizer. Carla Greenwood and Michelle Curtis will be full time accompanists for the production, Matt Creamer and Larry Shumway will head the brass section, and Barry Erickson will play tympani and drums.
