Show f The Mayfield News Jean Peterson William and Verna Christiansen spent one week in Cedar City tending children. Ned and Dixie Gregerson took their son David and his wife to Denver where David had surgery. This Thursday will be Cleanup Day at the Mayfield Cemetery. Towns people, and mutual youth are encouraged to come and participate. The big trees or Town Square at the Cemetery are to be taken out. THcre will be plenty of work for all. This project is under the direction of the Beautification Committee. Twenty-thre- e Mayfield youth, participated in the Manti Temple Centennial Dance Program last Saturday evening. The Mutual leaders responsible for taking the youth to all their practices were Karen Sorenson, Sheila Bartholomew, Debra Madsen, and Phil Whatcotl Two ladies from Mayfield were in the Manti Temple Centennial Choir. Suzanne Covington recently returned form a vacation to Florida. Suzanne accompanied her mother, Her Evelyn Larsen, of SAndy. mother was the Utah Bowler of the Year for Senior Citizens. Suzannes sister-in-laBonnie Larsen of Farmington, Utah also went on this vacation. The three of them put 800 miles on the car after they arrived in Florida, they went to the Epcot Center in Orlando. They visited the Alligator Farm. They swam the Atlantic Ocean. Suzanne says the Atlantic Ocean is different with its white sand and grey water. Elder Dale whitlock will arrive in Salt Lake City on Thursday from his mission to England. Rest Home. She was bom on January 27, 1900 in Ft Green, Utah to Charles William Johnson and Phebe LivingShe married Charles Ellis ston. Hanson in the Manti LDS Temple on June 26, 1918. He passed away on April 2, 1951. She later married BurahnDwain Decker on January 10. He 1953 in Las Vegas, Neveda. 1984. 12, on January passed away She lived her life in Manti Sterling, and Gunnison. She was active in the LDS Church, scrv- ing in many positions. Maxine Peterson of Salt Lake visited here a couple of days last week with her sister, LaPreal Olsen. They enjoyed shopping in Richfield together and having lunch at the Chinese Cafe. They also visited relatives in Redmond. They took their Aunt Clara to Moms Cafe for supper and then visited with Dolph Spencer, a cousin, the son of their Aunt Clara, who is recuperating from surgery. Dick and Phyllis Cowley were in Venice Wednesday evening to celebrate the birthday of a sister in law, Julie Ann Cowley, along with all of his brothers and wives in the area. Lynn and Rilla Dee Sorensen received word that their son, Garth has been made a member of Lau Beta Pi, the National Engineering Honor Society. Garth will graduate from USU June 4 in Electrical Engineering. Aurora held their annual city cleanup week this past weekend with a free dinner put on by the city council highlighting the week. Thcdinner was held at the Aurora City park with hamburgers, chips, salad and dessert. Everyone attending enjoyed the evening.
