Salina, as usual, captured many prizes at .ibe Sevier county was held at the county seat Thuriuay, Friday "and Saturday of last week. In the art ad agricultural departments, in particular, Salina made a splendid showing, and Joe Crane won a first, second and third prize on his haneliwork, featuring the ated stitch. Armita Murphy won first prize with a handsome dresser scarf, Miss Yetta.Wax a blue ribbon for a luncheon set and a second .prize for. a bedspread. The band, earved jewel case exhibited by Joseph Soren- son woia second prize. Other winners in Salina were: Mrs. Elizabeth e Gates, second prize for rug; Mrs. E. W. Crane, first prize for piano scarf; Mrs. Lottie Nielson, first for crocheted bedspread; Miss Mary Murphy, third, in luncheon set exhibit. There were many more prizes captured' by the Salina exhibits, but are not available for this week. No livestock from this city were exhibited, but in the agricultural department Salina farmers made a most creditable showing. Ernest Herbert and his son, Vaun, walked off with first and second prizes with .their displays Kanard and Turkey Red wheat, and E. W. Crane won the blue ribbon with his display of famous potatoes. The fair was largely attended and and educational proved interesting throughout.
